Pam Baer has been known for her numerous humanity philanthropic works for many years. She has specifically directed attention within the mental and behavioral health faculty. She is the director of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation in which she holds campaigns and events to improve the status of the marginalized within the community.

The pandemic has created huge gaps that need to be filled with support from the health care initiatives like Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). The organization takes care of the homeless, those without insurance, immigrants, and local communities living in poverty. According to Pam Baer, mental health issues along with the COVID crisis make it a double pandemic to all the vulnerable citizens. From the onset of the pandemic, Pam Baer’s foundation has been at the forefront to provide general health and wellness.

In 2018, she launched Transform Mental & Behavioral Health Fund. The core objective was to support mental health initiatives, give accessible care and reduce the stigmatization of mental issues. The foundation has since rose over $5 million. Through the fund, Telecare Health and Acute Care Team programs have been launched to maximize safety amid the pandemic.

Pamela Baer joined San Francisco General Hospital Foundation in 2002. After working for 16 years got the position to become the foundation’s director. Her charitable spirit, good leadership, and goodwill to the residents of San Francisco are marked. The foundation auctions locally crafted heart models to raise funds yearly. The project has so far raised $17 million.

Pam was born in Texas. She studied at the University of Texas and later shifted to New York for brand marketing occupation (financial consumers). Upon marrying Larry Baer, CEO of San Francisco Giants, she moves to San Francisco and embarked on philanthropy after selling out her business.
