After the death of his father, Sudhir Choudhrie didn’t know what his life could be. Although he had a mother, the young Sudhir evidently saw how his mother struggled to bring him up along with his siblings. Then came the heart condition that changed everything completely. From this humble and perhaps humiliating background , Sudhir Choudhrie could grow to become a mature young man, an entrepreneur and today, he is one of the few world philanthropists that strive to care about the lives of those that are in dire need of help oblivious of their own conditions. Sudhir Choudhrie was born and raised in Delhi, India. Before he was eight years, his father died, living him and his siblings under the custody of his mother. According to Sudhir Choudhrie, he owes everything he has to his mother. At that tender age, the young Sudhir started to avoid playing and he was growing weak each day. Preliminary reports showed that the young boy’s heart had a serious problem. In fact, doctors said that Sudhir’s heart had a valve that was leaking especially when he is active. Because of the leaking valve, Sudhir’s heart skipped, a condition doctors said unless something was done urgently, the boy’s life was in danger because without maintaining its rhythm, the heart was likely to fail at any minute and more
A heart transplant was inevitable and that is what saved the young Sudhir Choudhrie’s life. At seventy-one years today, the only thing in the heart and mind of the aging Sudhir is how he can help as many people as possible with the condition he had when he was only 8. Motivated with the spirit of giving back to the community and showing empathy to the needy, Sudhir Choudhrie has supported several ventures such as a radiology endeavor at the Columbia University’s Medical Center.
