Ross Levinsohn has been moving the media technology industry forward through his dedication and hard work for more than 36 years, and he now brings his experience to Maven as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. His successful career began after he graduated from American University in 1985. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in hand, he worked at a few essential positions to gain experience and to fine-tune his leadership abilities. Then, he took his first major leadership position when he accepted the role of Director of Production and Marketing at Home Box Office in 1990.
After leaving HBO a few years later, he became the Vice President of Programming at CBS Sportsline. From this position, he transitioned into being the General Manager at Alta Vista. When he later progressed into the role of President at Fox Interactive Media, he was responsible for the company’s many properties These included IGN, Fox.com, FoxSports.com and FoxNews.com.
In addition to being instrumental in leadership positions at these top companies, he spent time working at Whisper Advisors, Guggenheim Digital Media, Yahoo!, The Boston Consulting Group, Thryv and Tribune Publishing company. Through prominent or top-level positions, Levinsohn was a key player over brands like the Clio Awards, the New York Daily News, the Los Angeles Times, Dick Clark Productions, the Hollywood Reporter, AdWeek and the Film Expo Group.
