How DeNova Homes And Orange Coast College Partnered For Students Education

Orange Coast College operates one of the largest two-year educational institutions in Orange County, California. A local company, DeNova Homes Southern California, chose to support the architecture students going to this college. They did by offering an onsite tour of two of their model homes. They also took the group of about 40 students around to one of their newest developments still under construction, Aura which is located in Costa Mesa.

Alan Toffoli is the president DeNova Homes. He made a comment that his organization wanted to help develop the talent of these students as well as give back to the broader community. The homes in the Aura development are each about 2,100 to 2,400 square feet plus feature a two-car attached garage and private yard. The homes start in the upper $800k range.

The homes in Aura, which are located just a mile from the Pacific Ocean, come in three styles. These are Spanish, Plantation, and Modern Farmhouse. The countertops in the home in both the kitchen and bathrooms are made of European Quartz. The cabinets are shaker-style designs and the appliances are Bertozzoni stainless steel.

DeNova Homes was first established over 25 years ago. It is a family-owned company that has developed a reputation as one of the finest homebuilders in the state of California. Their latest development is located near South Coast Plaza which is internationally recognized, plus the OC Fair & Event Center.

Orange Coast College was opened to students in 1948. They offer two-year associate degrees plus certificate courses. It has many active clubs plus sports teams that have competed across the United States. One of the college’s most acclaimed sports programs is their rowing teams who have won multiple national titles over the years.

At Orange Coast College there have been a number of recent improvements. A new planetarium was recently completed as was a new recycling center facility. Additionally, their library was remodeled to modern specs in 2008. Orange Coast College also has a Starbucks located on its campus which is the only such college in its county to have one.
